A lot of people forget Alex Jones got his start going after George W Bush. He is called a right wing conspiracy theorist, but that mantle didn't seem to catch on until Obama was in office. This is back when WikiLeaks was a good guy according to a lot of leftists.
Certainly he gets on ridiculous and unprovable tangents, but him and the Infowars crew make some good reporting mixed in. It's unfortunate that he taints his own reputation with the over-the-top stuff, particularly the Sandy Hook crisis actor theory.
