I remember seeing "The Killing Fields" back in 1984. In no small way it changed my life. I remember thinking 'This was going on while I was growing up?' Somehow the fact that this genocide happened while I was going to Jr. High school (and I was blissfully unaware of it at the time!) impacted me in a big way. Yes I knew about the Holocaust, but that was in the past, black and white pictures, before I was born. This happened during my lifetime. It really shook me and made me realize that this type of thing could happen anytime and anywhere. I vowed to pay attention from then on. Unfortunately, it has happened again and again since then.

When you get to be as rich and powerful as Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Sundar Pichai, George Soros, etc... You loose all sense of modesty and humility. You honestly believe that you know best and you are going to make the world a better place. This is what makes them so dangerous and such a threat. I find this trait in every leftist liberal I know. But it is most pronounced in the elites.

Truly great men like Washington understood their limitations. This was what I liked about Trump the most. Although he was accused of being egotistical, in reality he understood his limitations and believed in the power of the people to make the country a better place. Reagan also had this great quality of humility.

I too am at a loss to understand this. Only a year ago if you tried to cox people to take an experimental 'vaccine' you would find few takers. Now people line up like it's Tylenol. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but IF the powers that be wanted to inject the population with a sterilization drug, I believe that they could do it within a few months. I think we are in agreement. I didn't exclude these well known exceptions, I stated them up-front. However, in my mind, advocating for "Free Speech" does not imply advocating for threats, defamation and false statements that place others in danger.

So we are in agreement as to what SCOTUS has said. Parler can do whatever it wants- I don't have a dog in that fight. Your post that I was replying to seemed to conflate what SCOTUS has said about Free Speech and what web sites do. That's why I asked you to clarify what the reasonable limits SCOTUS has placed.

As to your statement "there will always be limits to free speech" perhaps on private web sites this is true, but as far as in the US, aside from the very clear SCOTUS limits I outlined above (Which involve violation of another's other rights), there are no limits.

So what are the limits, aside from what I already mentioned?

Enlighten us as to what those reasonable limits are other than defamation, false statements that place others in danger (yelling "Fire" in a crowded theatre.) or obscenity (which is not enforced anymore as far as I can tell.) Hate speech is not a thing.
