I hate that word.
I hate that word because it forever changed the relationship between me and two beloved family members. You all know this common story. Thanksgiving 2016. I am back home prior to a deployment and the topic of who voted for who comes up. I had been burned by both sides and prided myself as a centrist that gave equal attention to both sides. Apparently, that I would vote for Trump against Hillary was inconceivable.
This provoked a twenty minute debate where me and one corner of the table countered the most tired propaganda and talking points until my aunt and uncle turned to one another and, with the smuggest dismissive tone, determined that I had been brainwashed by the "fascist military complex".
With apologies to my mother, I stopped being polite and started dropping "civilian" as a pejorative, condemning the fact that these two had barely even left their home state, let alone the country, and wouldn't know the first thing about what goes on overseas. They had the nerve to act all offended to my mother and damn near got themselves thrown out.
They'd gotten better and avoid political talk offline, but there is a tension there now that refuses to fuck off.
Hilariously, despite their apparent passion, they voted for Kasich!
tl;dr - Carolina pede doesn't like that word.
They believe they're masters of Psy Ops. They think their transparent lies can convince us, "Oh, Trump doesn't stand a chance. Why even bother voting."
You know, except any rational person might be like, "Oh yeah! Because I live in a purple state, but see ten Trump signs for every one Biden sign!"

I seem to recall one DemonRat or another responding to talking points about how many girls are abused or raped by coyotes by practically screaming that "You've got a sick mind!" and "I've been addressing the border crisis for years and no animal has ever raped a human!"
You ever meet one of them? Those self-proclaimed subject matter experts that have somehow never even heard of something basic most non-experts would at least know about?
Liberal Uncle: "I don't care what the other side says! Trump is the President! He's supposed to be presidential!"

My liberal aunt and uncle are much the same way. They don't like Trump's personality and think he's an "abrasive Yankee blowhard", but they are utterly terrified of the transparent puppet their party has put up this time.
2020 - Libtards be like, "The man's in his 70s. He can't live forever."
2040 - GEOTUS be like, "So, I put my brain in a cyborg clone body! And don't current term limits only state that no-body can serve more than two terms?"
Any news on the jackass that was firing into the air? I heard he had been identified and arrested, but there's been nothing but radio silence on him in recent weeks.
