be careful with this. I HIGHLY reccomend anyone worried about this to buy a spO2 finger monitor and keep it on hand. This is an invaluable tool for knowing when you need to go to the hospital if you think you have covid.
If i didnt have this, i would have likely died in my sleep from covid. I'm a 33 yo male in acceptable shape for the record. i hit 60% spO2 about a week after contracting covid, because my body couldnt fight it off. i have chronic bronchits so my lungs couldnt cope. i was blue in the face, and all of my extremeties had started turning blue and going numb by the time i got to the hospital. DO NOT LET THEM GIVE YOU REMDESIVIR unless they tell you its your only hope. Remdesivir wound up frying my lungs completely. Covid weakened my lungs blood vessels to the point that the remdesivir was able to eat through the vessels in my lungs and give me massive interal bleeding - the doctors called it Haemoptysis. i was coughing up softball sized wads of blood and snot for three days straight until they finally had to jam a tube into my lung so that they could drain all of the blood and fluid out of it.
My lung functionality is basically now half of what it used to be, and i cant do any kind of rigorous activitiy. they cant even tell me when its going to recover. they're dancing around the 'it might never go back to normal' now. i have been on supplemental oxygen since the week before thanksgiving, and am completely winded and out of breath doing simple things like grocery shopping for an hour, or roughhousing with my dog for two minutes or so.
