My mom who isn't the most politically minded person. I refrain from using the term normie because it's disparaging, but she's just not wired that way. And even she realizes the election has been stolen. My parents have slowly gotten more and more redpilled over the past year or so and with my mom it accelerated really fast this past month or so.
I can probably guess the episode you're referring to. Is it the one where Jesus comes and they're trying to "assist his dating life"? That whole episode is horrible.
And there's another "joke" where I don't know if it comes from that episode which was probably in the top 3 most blasphemous things I've ever witnessed. That would be the "joke" where "the Father changes the details of Jesus' death". That was horrible. I agree with you. And that whole era I stopped watching Family Guy. I'd say that was around 2010 ish. That was Family Guy at it's worst. It is much funnier nowadays and doesn't do anything nearly that horrible. Fortunately. For the past 4 or so seasons they've been mocking liberals more than anybody.
However this season and to a lesser degree some of last season, they've started to revert back to some of their sjw-ness and it's unfortunate.
Because Hinduism isn't true, but Christianity is. The Christian God is the God of all people, whether they acknowledge Him as such or not. And He's a holy and just God who must punish evil. But He's also a gracious, loving and forgiving God who wants to forgive and have a relationship with all people, so He sent His only Son to be killed on our behalf and then raised Him from the dead so that all people who trust in Jesus could have Jesus' righteous imputed to us. We trade our evil for His righteousness. It's not a fair trade. It's a trade too good to be true, but His love is too good to be true....or rather it is too good and it is true.
Yeah, I thought that was bizarre as well.
My guess is that he didn't want to anger muslims.
It's a way to have his cake and eat it too. The most blasphemous thing to a muslim is to imply there's more than one God. They even think Christians are polytheistic because of the three personhood of God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), despite us being monotheistic.
He can use the name Brhama to please the spiritualists and eastern religious, while saying monotheistic so as to not anger muslims.
I use offend and offensive the way it used to mean, not the way modern sjws use it.
I watch Family Guy. I think it's hilarious. Sometimes they mock Christianity. My response is to sigh and roll my eyes and then pay it no more thought.
I don't whine about it, I don't petition....if it ever got so bad, I'd simply stop watching it.
This, what I'm talking about above is much more serious than Family Guy and warrants a more serious approach. I'm offended, but I'm not gonna call for him to be cancelled on twitter. Venting about it to this forum and to my parents and prayer is what I'm doing, not cancelling him.
lol, Alex Jones is entertaining, but I don't buy into 80% of the conspiracy theories he says and I think he does more damage than good by him going on about interdimensional aliens and whatnot. When he talks he's so charismatic that you start believing all sorts of crazy crap, and then you have to come back to reality.
I feel he discredits himself because as much as he gets right, he undoes it by a lot of the nonsense he spouts.
That's true, but it's one of those things where a rose by any other name smells just as sweet.
If someone only wants to use the name Yeshua, then that's fine, that's a matter of their own conscience to decide. It also isn't wrong to use the name Jesus, as accents and languages change depending on the culture. Someone saying Jesus in Japan will pronounce it different than an American, but they're both presumably talking about the same person (I say presumably because there are cults that have weird false views of Jesus).
In summary, it's who you worship, not the pronunciation. Jesus the man and God saves, not the proper pronunciation.
I know you weren't speaking against this idea, I just wanted to use it as a jumping off point because there are people who believe anyone who doesn't use the name Yeshua as pronounced in Hebrew are not true believers.
Agreed. I was generalizing just because they tend to generalize Americans. I know there's redpilled awesome Europeans, and I wasn't targeting it towards them. I've found the demographic of reddit is like 97% leftist, so it was just some trolling is all.
I'm horribly angry about everything that's going on, but pray for their salvation. We all want justice for others, but grace for ourselves. None of us deserve mercy, yet He freely gives it to all people to various degrees. One day all people will be brought to justice, though those who have Jesus, God's wrath was already poured out on Jesus so we're saved from that.
But a verse that is helpful to remember is this.
52 and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to [aa]make arrangements for Him. 53 And they did not receive Him, because [ab]He was traveling toward Jerusalem. 54 When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?” 55 But He turned and rebuked them [and said“You do not know of what kind of spirit you are; for the Son of Man did not come to destroy people’s lives, but to save them.”] Part in brackets is not in all translations and may be a later addition. But it is in line with other scripture, namely John 3:17
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Remember David had the opportunity to kill Saul who was seeking Davids life unjustly. But he didn't. He chose love.
What the establishment, the left are doing right now is evil and wrong. Pray that they turn to the light, not that they'd be consumed by the darkness because before we got saved we were all partakers in that same darkness, and there, but by the grace of God go I.
