This is the time of year when many people take on the burden of travel to rejoin with their families for a huge dinner with much celebration.

Yet I have seen that God is sending us a lot of bad weather this week. The burden of travel will be great for many.

This can be seen as a message from God, because now is the time we have to give thanks.

We are not being called to give thanks for the abundance and gifts of our friends and relatives. We are being called to give thanks for what we ourselves have. Home is where the heart is. Home is where we receive the warmth and comforts of God's abundance. So we are being called to give thanks at our homes to give thanks to God for his gifts of comfort and abundance.
