While not sure it was the case in the VP debate, the topics for the Pres debate were definitely announced in advance. A quick web search did not reveal any such announcement but a pre-known list of topics is plausible based on precedent.

I try my best to ignore it but end up talking about it every race. At least they're using the understandable End Racism rather than the Marxist BLM. I'm sure there are a handful of racists left out there that they're trying to reach but they're in the minority.

I've known about it in Texas for over 40 years now. As an employer, always tried to make reasonable accommodations without bending the knee.
