When Trump ran for President, he took on both political parties. For this reason, you can't be shocked when he was hamstrung by people who were supposed to be his "political allies". Washington DC wants Trump gone. BOTH parties want the status quo back. It is very sad to see, and you will probably never see another true outsider get anywhere near the presidency.
