Well when they decided that possession of pot counted as trade, nobody spoke out because it was just the potheads. When we started suspicionless searches at airports to make us feel safe from terror, we didn't fight back. When you stand by and watch you liberties erode and fail to act because you aren't immediately or directly impacted, this is the outcome. American business owners sat and watched our poor get thrown behind bars and have their livelihoods ruined by corrupt cops and politicians. They blame the citizen for not following the law but now you want pity. Now you seem to understand just how arbitrary this shit is. That's why the second amendment exists. The constitution defines our rights against the government, not each other. It was always there to use against the enforcement arm if it crossed the line into tyranny. The second amendment was meant to give us a chance against our own police.
