Nice, pretty high speed stuff. I was NG, 13C (artillery FDC). I can say in fairness that it’s a bit apples and oranges. I came out of AIT hard charging and then had to go to Korean war era equipment. It’s not a lack of intelligence or capability, it’s more about not having time on target and outdated equipment. Given train-up time, NG does just fine. Full time isn’t necessarily smarter, just put in a better position to perform well. We’re all on the same team though.

Can confirm this. I’m a teacher and there are plenty of other conservative teachers and students. The district is pushing social justice and racial equality crap (which makes me want to puke) but not everyone is buying it. Just sucks because we can’t really speak up without fear of backlash.

Gen Z is more based than the millennials but they’re still pretty pampered. They know the right rhetoric to sound conservative but they still struggle mightily with work ethic and entitlement. It’s a tougher battle for conservative parents just based upon the way society is right now.
Can confirm. My NG artillery unit was using Korean War era Howitzers. It took half the drill just getting the FDC up and running let alone getting meaningful training. I recall a handful of civil disturbance trainings. The hard charging of Basic/AIT did not last because the setup just wasn’t conducive to it.
