Yep, the same thing... many many many years ago a dog of mine had a lump on her paw and all these vets kept telling me to just chop it off but I went to see this particular vet and he was holistic. he said no don’t cut it off because it’s just a symptom of the problem and he suggested that food, and then I started feeding my dogs things that I eat...and that lump went away in under a year on its own. People give me so much shit because they say I “baby” my dogs because I spend an extra five minutes in them, but I really don’t see why I would treat them any different than I treat myself.
Sometimes I freeze meat then grate it over their food too if I’m in a hurry.
That’s awesome! I do that too. And I found that if you know how to shop, real chicken, beef, fish and veggies are a better value and more nutritious than process dog food.
Just like for us: you need to put a bit of planning and effort bit they really appreciate it, too! My dogs have all live very long lives. I use Taste of the Wild kibble.
I also add bone broth, and a bit of olive oil sometimes too.
