Krupp's gun factory. It worked out for them really well. It was always a family-owned business and the patriarch + owner Gustev Krupp was imprisoned and set for trial at Nuremberg. A few years go by and America realized that there was a real communist threat to the east. Now keep in mind that Auschwitz was set up to supply crop with slave labor. Well we needed someone that could turn out tanks and heavy equipment in Germany so Krupp got a free pass at Nuremberg. He got the factories and the steel mills and the coal mines back. Company town too. A great book by historian William Manchester is The Arms of Krupp.

A lot of these cops are little children playing Army dress up. I live in a small town with little to no crime in a semi rural area and the cops bought an armored personnel carrier. If you are going to do that show of force you are not psychologically fit to be a policeman.... or a human being.

Bet you never lived through the slingshot of patriotism & prosperity after coming out of Jommy Carter's malaise, gas lines, embarrassing foriegn policies.

The Chicago covid-19 lockdowns were a giant real estate scam worth billions. When the commercial tenants go bankrupt eventually the building owner goes bankrupt. A cabal of high-dollar leftist come in and buy everything for pennies on the dollar. This is just the next level of their typical real estate scams. Ordinarily in the Statehouse they would raise property taxes through the roof. The building owner will go to his alderman and request help for property tax relief. They are steered towards certain law firms that kick back to the alderman. The lawyer's appeal the property tax bill with great success, but the politicians get their break wet. Now imagine running the same scam every single year for 50 years. They also use the property tax laws to strong-arm people into selling their buildings at Great discounts. The whole thing is a private club and I sure ain't in it. Valerie Jarrett is a member of that club. Her Chicago high-rise building was bought by General Electric at a huge profit for Valerie.

My friend is a voice acting coach and she asked me to help with Al Pacino's accent. I'm from the Chicago area but she thought I had the perfect Detroit accent. There are a lot of similarities. I'm Hollywood too ! Maybe I'll call up John Voight or James Woods and then we can do lunch.

Amen. Church is a great place to meet people because you already have the big things in common. I like to play golf and workout. May take up bowling this winter just to get out of the house. There's like minded people everywhere. Oh, and I'm from the Chicagoland region. (By sheer raw #'s, there are a lot of Social and economic conservatives here.)

I'm really into golf and for years I have bought my equipment Factory Direct. Plus overtime you develop relationships with the people answering the phone and often times they will give you an even bigger discount.

Then we came to the same conclusion. 240 Bravo. A buddy of mine I was watching the news and later told me the same thing.

I like to watch and follow Chicago politics as much as the White Sox. For all of those years in Chicago, Obama is not even in the top 20 of power players. He was groomed by a member of the Illinois state legislature named the Emile Jones. O was a gay cokehead. Blackmailable.

Science doesn't work by consensus. And you can tell the people that I had to bury this year that it's not. Watched my mom get incredibly ill in February and she dodged that bullet.

I don't think you know what that word means. Edit, technically correct. He is in place of another Pope. Not anti-pope as in the devil. But as B16 is still alive.

The Catholic Church put together the Bible in the middle of the fourth century. There are many teachings that Protestants find unbiblical but are actually Catholic traditions during those first 330 years passed down from the apostles and the church fathers.

Pope Leo 13 in the late 19th century would have a problem with everything you just said.

in many ways it's like back to the good old days. A lot of great breweries in Wisconsin went belly-up and those brands are long gone. Same in Chicago.
