Hey, I'm a happy Catholic, and I have recommended the Missouri Synod Lutheran's to some people a few times. High Mass Anglican church nearby is extremely theologically and socially conservative. I account for that for the local priest or maybe under the guidance of his Bishop. Unfortunately all of that can change on a dime.

I live semi-rural with a lot of Catholic churches to choose from. The Bishop's often exile the theologically conservative priests out my way as punishment. We welcome them with open arms.

In the 1950s Groucho Marx used to host a game show called What's My Line. Groucho- " Mr. Smith, it says here that you are from Nebraska and you have 13 kids" Mr. Smith- "Well, I really love my wife." Groucho - "I I love my cigar but sometimes I take it out of my mouth."

There is a book published several years ago by the lawyer of a hitman who claimed to have had a hand in the Jimmy Hoffa murder. He described Biden as the mobs man in the Senate.

Two thumbs up. I also like Bismarcks with granulated sugar on top. Red raspberry jelly in the middle. Then sit ups on a bed of nails.

Chicagoland here. Yup. There are many precincts where the vote totals are determined before the polls even open up. There's a Catholic Priest from this area that I like to listen to on the radio and he passed along his first-hand stories of how it works. Then he proceeded to shame the hell out of the cheaters.

I consider myself an amateur historian, guided by a friend who is a history professor at Purdue. I've read the correspondence between Patton and his wife & among other people and his Personal Diary. My friend takes a very hi-view those letters. unlike newspaper accounts of the time, people generally don't lie in their Diaries and personal letters to friends.

I turned into an LPGA fan a few years ago. Do you remember the name of that Korean girl that always wins? Sarc/ I like watching it because I can really slow down my tempo and be assured that I'm going to still hit the ball just as far.

Good for you. I live in Chicago land on the Indiana side of the border and our restaurant restrictions are not that bad, but on Christmas Eve I rediscovered what normal feels like. Our party of nine went to a high-end Steakhouse that was jam-packed and bustling and very festive. it sure made all of us feel good. I bet you're ski vacation did you a world of good to. And on the downside, it was absolutely ridiculous that I could not get a reservation to attend Midnight Mass.

Fun fact - Southern Indiana is very much culturally the South. Take a visit. ( Indiana has to be the most culturally schizophrenic state in the Union and I live in Chicagoland.)

Those are impressive citations, however there is precedent in church history that a Pope can step down from his duties. the College of cardinals elected Pope Francis according to papal law. Besides, God allows us to choose our pontiff and also allows us to make our mistakes. While you may not like Pope Francis, he is not an anti-pope.I write this as a big B16 fan.

I've been following that case for years and my conjecture is : there was a late night drunken party and Natalie fell to her death or went swimming. But I do think they (someone or someones) tried to cover up the death for some reason.

I was a tea party guy along with some friends and family. Our marches and rallies were always cleaner then when we got there. No fooling, me and another guy were actually pulling weeds along the parkway. Tidy Pede.

In the past decade there have been several great books about Pius 12th actions during the war and it is the complete opposite of that Soviet propaganda that he aided Hitler. Mark Riebling "Church of Spies". The book was drawn from recently accessed papal archives. The Pope would send Hitler a birthday card, while plotting to kill him.

I like to watch and follow Chicago politics as much as the White Sox. For all of those years in Chicago, Obama is not even in the top 20 of power players. He was groomed by a member of the Illinois state legislature named the Emile Jones. O was a gay cokehead. Blackmailable.
