Besides, God allows us to choose our pontiff and also allows us to make our mistakes. While you may not like Pope Francis, he is not an anti-pope.I write this as a big B16 fan.

I think you're on the right path here. When Roberts adopted those Irish children the law in Ireland was that only the Irish can adopt Irish children. He found a way around it that appears to be illegal. Occam's razor. He wants to keep his kids or at least not disrupt their lives.
