Rhetoric isn't anything new or terrible, even a completely polarizing stance isn't unheard of. But you can't play into a bunch of angry children's hands by yelling angrily through your keyboard. The entire pelosi trump pissing match just drove a wedge further between everyone, which is exactly what congress would want (they're only in agreement when enough people are against whatever they're agreeing to)
The president has to be beyond reproach. Non disclosure agreements are legal and sound and great and whatnot, but they probably shouldn't exist between the leader of the free world and a porn star. Like it would have hurt his standing if he had done anything? No you say well at least he was honest and hope you never accidentally see that tape.
Some of the pardons and medals were questionable, but they always are, and as people have pointed out, a loyal guy takes care of his friends, even if they aren't always loyal back.
I'm not sure what to think about peace deals in the middle east or with the cells there, but that's mostly because we don't seem to have much luck changing things outside our borders or in.
I understand needing to stop all the bullshit wars but you don't just walk away from the guy who was shoulder to shoulder taking 50% of incoming and leave him to deal with all of it
I wish it had been him to remind the va that if someone was in the military, we can probably give them a hearing aid and fuckall if it was or wasn't because of duty. But no one promised that so it's more just built up political bitterness.
All in all, he filled his promises as a president to the best of his ability, and then even pulled a toto at the end so everyone could see how the great wizard worked.

Oddly I'm not looking for lighter chains. Brothers were military, I was supposed to be the politician, until my first day of debate class when I realized it didn't mean standing up for what you believe, or what the people you represent believe, it means being right at all costs. In practice for a game where the costs are,at the least, everyone who didn't vote for you, or at worst, just everyone. Look at all year? Spending the whole last four years fighting more with each other over the guy in the Whitehouse than over a goddam useful thing one.
This side doesn't have to do this cause that side didn't do that. Back and forth. As long as I can remember. I don't think I can remember a time when the faults weren't exclusively "the last guys".
And now there are millions of people who truly do love their country, realizing, because of Trump, one guy, that just tried to do what he said he would.. they are pissed off, disenfranchised, and everyone else is trying to just gloss all of the bullshit over, while most of them are working to pull off exactly what they accused Trump and yourselves of.
I see a bunch of people who want the exact same thing from different sides of a table that they may as well have been placed at blindfolded for all the truth that comes of it.
