In a clinical setting, where ideally masks are changed with every new patient contact and hands are washed before and after touching your mask, they can help reduce transmission to an extent. That's about it. I'm not a nurse but i work beside them in an ER and I wear an N95 the whole shift along with most other workers. A lot of us even wear a mask over our N95s.

Guess how many of us where masks in the breakroom?

Making it the end all be all of all this shit was a mistake from the beginning and I'm going to say Fauci lied for reasons other than PPE shortages.

Great! So now because this has happened a few times before:

  1. The American people lose faith in their reps to get something done.
  2. The American people might begin to suspect that their reps don't want to get anything done.
  3. Tech giants realizing more and more they can act with impunity.
  4. Other, unrelated, people looking at this realizing they can also get away with similar actions without being punished.

All GREAT outcomes. Thanks Congress!

To play devil's advocate Shapiro has never liked Trump on a personal level. Shapiro will praise his policy but will make known he is not a fan of the style of leader he is. That hasn't really changed since Trump has been President and put in place policy to be judged.

In 2016 Shapiro did not predict a dominant Trump win because Shapiro, pursuing the safest bet, based his predictions off of polling data. In 2020 he did the same. Again, you will not hear statements from Shapiro that, right or wrong, cannot be attributed to someone else. Shapiro will acknowledge polling data is abysmal after the fact, but he isn't going to go against the data before a result happens. He is consistent to himself in that regard.

In today's era of corporate branding its the only type of true investigative journalism that can exist. Way too many hands the cookie jar with the conglomerates.

I don't buy that Shapiro is controlled opposition. I do, however, subscribe to the idea that at the end of the day Shapiro is more concerned with his brand and doesn't necessarily have the convictions to lead the charge on breaking news. Shapiro is the type of guy to go all in on stances that are already well founded. He is more concerned with making sure everything he says is right, which isn't really a bad quality, but in a situation like this where voter fraud is being founded he isn't going to be out in front of the situation like you'd like him to be because he's more worried about getting something wrong and having to backtrack himself.

To prove my point, pick a random video from the past year and count the number of times you hear him say something along the lines of, "I've been saying this for awhile now".

There's no way you can convince me that people hate Trump more than they loved Obama and the person they used to prove that point was Biden. I'm sorry it just doesn't make sense.
