It's 3.3% for Australia when you divide deaths / cases. US is less around 2%.

It's not that simple because some of those deaths are due to pre-existing condition. But you'd have to claim a majority of those are incorrectly categorized which is a big ask.

In fact i'd suggest you take that to the extreme. No need to get mad about lefties screeching all the way to November. It's all they've got when they are out of power for the next 8 - 12 years. Just enjoy 👌.

And where does this stop? Flu season every year? Everyone stop using hammer on a construction site he walks by?

What's with the weak slippery slopes?

I get you, the government is compelling in this situation.

Let me put it this way: Is there a situation where the government should compel? I reckon some here would agree BLM should have been preventing from protesting (due to the virus).

Muslim ban example was good enough though IMO.

I'm not even asking the government here. I'm asking my political brothers to make a bit of effort and not try to be pure politically.

I understand your concern, but who is to decide what the threshold is for a "major event"?

3% are dying so that is enough for me. I sincerely understand a lot of people disagree with that. But you have to also see why it could be a concern for other people. It's a big number when the cases are in the millions.

For the Muslim ban i'm personally in favor of it. I realize that's not what Trump implemented. So i'm arguing from that perspective that a ban would in fact be just.

"I'm not arguing that a blanket ban on rights is the correct way forward. Just some of them, like forcing people to put a tiny chip in their fucking hand."

Plain old slippery slope to me. I'm quite libertarian when it comes to big government.

He is very much i forgot to say that. I would still appreciate if people made at least some effort to respect his position. It doesn't have to be that much. More of an attitude thing.

He hasn't left the house in about 4 months.

I'm a right winger who is "pro covid" to speak roughly. I feel this is such a major event that some rights have to be pushed aside.

A direct analogy is the proposed muslim ban. Islamic terror is so bad in the 21st century that we do in fact have to be discriminatory. Because life comes before people getting offended or having some rights removed.

I'm not arguing that a blanket ban on rights is the correct way forward. Just some of them, like forcing people to put a bit of fabric on their face when they are chatting to strangers.

They are self isolating for the most part. Is it really that much to ask that we take a bit of care when dealing with them. And perhaps make some sacrifices?

I don't think we should go too far but my dad had a heart attack last year (70). It will likely kill him if he gets it. I'd be angry if someone gave it to him and then justified it because it saved them some hassle for the day etc..

I realize this is political and a lot of fellow right wingers feel it's overblown. I just ask that you don't go too far.

Something happened to Carrey mentally. I'm not trying to defend him because i like his old acting. You can just tell something changed 10 years ago in the way he reasons things. If i had to guess i'd say synthetic drugs (for recreation) that weren't tested well enough.

The new theory will be that he waits until year 8. Then when he can't "seize" power again he goes all dictator and starts loading us onto trains.

Unfortunately they have to pay the strangers $500 each to go along with it

I agree with that though. I'm not a gun enthusiast but i'm not against them. I live in Australia so guns are illegal, despite that i have 3 (right wing) friends who own guns.

Still you have to admit the image and the title of this post is a bit weird from my perspective. It's a picture of a random gun with a title that seems to be some kind of meme. Believe me i'm right leaning, but why do you suddenly turn into r/politics 2.0 and chase out anyone who isn't a purist? It's fucking dumb sorry, and you're dumb if you support that kind of politics. Go fuck yourself if you want to live in an echo chamber with no consideration to people on the fringes. You're just another person making the right look bad. So again fuck you if you disagree with anything i say here.

Not a fan of vague posts about murder weapons. Happy to be educated as to why this is a good thing to just post about without any real message.

Just a short list of left wing celebrities that have adopted kids, for reference in future arguments against cucks:

https://www.insider.com/celebrities-adopted-kids-2018-3#ex-spouses-tom-cruise-and-nicole-kidman-adopted-two-children-connor-and-isabella-during-their-marriage-1

Connor, 23, and Isabella, 25, were adopted by Kidman and Cruise

Sandra Bullock adopted her son Louis amidst her divorce from Jesse James, and five years later adopted daughter Laila.

Hugh Jackman

Madonna has four adopted kids

Julie Andrews and her husband adopted two Vietnamese orphans in the '70s

etc.. (that site lists 26 of them)

Is there a debate coming up i assume? I'm out of the loop for this.

I do know Joe nominated himself as "fact checker" a couple of months ago, for any debate, so that should be funny.

I agree. You see the same thing with Kavanaugh who made an extremely detailed dairy even as a damn teenager. Imagine bothering with that as a teen.

And i reckon even if she did in fact have issues with adoption, the public would still react badly if the left chose to criticize her for it. Regular citizens know that adoption is a tough process and there are always going to be complications.

Thanks i didn't recognize ACB at all. People don't need to be so harsh. She was unknown to most people until this week.
