He hasn't held a press conference before today, so he hasn't learned their names, so yes, he probably has a seating chart showing their position in the room, name, and network affiliation.

Perhaps they Brits use more forks and spoons to eat, and are less likely to depend on their fingers and naan as cutlery?

Relevant detail...came up earlier too in the discussion of the corona vaccines:

There is a long-standing debate in the Catholic Church over accepting vaccines and treatments that use fetal tissue, centering on HEK293 cells, which are cloned from an aborted fetus from the early 1970s, according to Religion News Service. The cells used now, such as those used in the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, are not from the original fetal tissue.

Except, you're not looking at it right...

When you're the President, literally anything you choose to wear is by definition, "Presidential attire".

It's true, Parler the service isn't fully functioning again. Or hell, even read-only of the last posted content.

But Parler.com is resolving, and bringing up a page. Give them a little time to warm up the databases.

2
PeabodyJFranklin 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's obviously not that Parler.com is literally functional and usable again. It's the first step, that going to the site doesn't give an "nxdomain" error anymore.

No, it wasn't "12 hours" to be back online as they claimed prior to the takedown, but the fact that a week later, you can bring up A page at the URL, is good progress.

I've been using my mug nearly daily since last March, though I handwash it each time. Not strictly because they said/advised to, primarily because I run my dishwasher weekly, but make a pot of coffee almost every day. It's just easier to wash any lunch residue from my hands after lunch, do a handwash of the mug while my hands are still soapy, and finally rinse out the coffee carafe & filter. My "with" is still a vibrant red.

I'm glad to hear that your mug isn't a shitty rushed version, and seems to be the same etched one that I got. I too have realized I was incorrect about a thing (many things really!) upon realizing my error, and would be a hypocrite to fault you for the same.

Factually, I won't argue I didn't. I didn't mean it in anger, I was only trying to specify a disputed point of view, that perhaps we couldn't reconcile...but we did.

Thank you, be well.

I didn't unequivocally accuse you of being full of shit.

I've never heard anything other than them being actually etched, which is why my literal words were "My first inclination (idea, thought, etc) is that you're full of shit."

I know mug shipments have run late, especially after events where they get a flood of new subscribers. Why would they risk pissing off new subscribers, by sending an item that is not what they've consistently advertised? Especially if they need to waste money sending a second mug to any complainers.

Whatever, it doesn't really matter. A lot of the thread here was complaining about the show anyway, which is where the real criticisms lie.

my mug's colors faded and smeared after the first hand washing. Was sticky paper graphics. Ultra-low quality.

Already covered by u/I_Used_to_be_me below, but what? Unless they changed them, that doesn't make sense at all, except perhaps buying a knock-off from a 3rd party seller. Since the beginning, they've been referring to the Mug Club mugs as "hand etched", and I believe it. Perhaps they did change, and simply stopped referring to them anymore as Hand Etched.

They're generic ceramic mugs, with a blue glaze with white speckles on the outside (solid blue interior). To customize them, you'd apply a template/mask, then probably sandblast, or perhaps chemically etch the surface. Remove the template, apply some sort of red paint to the "with" letters, and leave the others showing the underlying white ceramic.

If you used a dishwasher, I could see the red fading, or getting worn off. Beyond that, nothing should degrade the appearance of the branding. Perhaps the red paint was defective, and hadn't cured properly. "Colors" wouldn't fade or smear, and there's zero chance of "sticky paper graphics" being an issue.

My first inclination is that you're full of shit. If not, I suggest you reach out to The Blaze customer service, regarding your apparently shitty mug.

App store. Since you can't readily sideload apps by just checking the "Allow installation from unknown sources" like on Android, you need to either root your device to use Cydia (or whatever's current), or follow the above instructions to load an app like a developer would do.

But then imagine what happens if the fisherman are suddenly forbidden from going out to sea. After a few months, the farmers then have all the fishermen's cash, so the fishermen can no longer buy any grain. And because on this island (our modern society), barter is forbidden, no commerce can take place.

By giving everyone on that island an injection of cash, you do devalue their currency, but it allows the fisherman to buy what they need in the short term. It would be a terrible ongoing policy however.

The interesting thing about this analogy though, which also applies to our situation, is that you're giving everyone an injection of cash. The farmers didn't need it, or not as much...they could still grow grain, and make it available for sale.

However, if the fishermen couldn't fish for a product to sell, they had no money to buy grain. Not only does this hurt the fisherman, because he may starve, but it affects the farmer, as he's receiving less revenue, so has less cash for other goods and services.

It gets worse though. The fishermen get an injection of cash, so they can now eat. The farmer can make more sales, as the fishermen have cash. But, as with our society, the farmer also got a cash injection, on top of getting paid by the fishermen. Wealth has been redistributed to the farmer, while the fishermen will soon run out of cash again.

There was a brief recovery in normalcy, but as with us, what the society needs to function normally, is for the fishermen to be able to fish, to sell their fish to everyone, to receive money, which then circulates as they buy goods from the farmer, and anyone else selling goods or services.

TL,DR: Cash infusions don't solve the problem. Ending the lockdowns and restrictions do.

I tried listening to the video with RTX voice enabled, at different levels. There's so little amplitude to the voice there, that it gets cut at anything above very tiny levels of RTX noise suppression, and at those levels, it comes through just as well without it. Sorry, not the magic sauce you were hoping for.

I'm up to at least 8 different Knipex tools now. A pair of wire rope cutters, because I trusted them to cut well. Small bolt cutters, for easily cutting small diameter rod, nails, fence wire, etc. Cobra serrated jaw pliers in 3 different sizes, and Pliers Wrench in 3 different sizes. (One each for car set, toolbox set, and TSA-small enough laptop bag set.

More importantly, what day was this actually filmed? At least Wednesday, since it was mentioned the state was already called, which they wouldn't do before poll close.

It wasn't clearly obvious, but perhaps the box opening was locked/secured already at poll close, but it would have been inefficient to stop and collect the ballots at that time.

Particularly, both presidential limos, which amazingly seem to be brought to each location (not literally all of the rallies, but many of them), if only for the short drive across the tarmac. Yet, they're ready and waiting at the next one, even as close together as these two 5-rally days have squeezed them. Obviously certain things there are at least two sets of, like the government camera crew and AV equipment, the podium, etc. The rest has to be a combination of trusted regional contractors, and sets of campaign owned/leased equipment, that is shuffled around like a band's tour gig.

I'd have to guess that POTUS is the last one to arrive, the first one out, and flies slower, while the C-17(s) get loaded back up ASAP, then leapfrogs AF-1 to the next stop.

There are 2 huge Air Force planes here, so I’m guessing they transport a lot of this stuff.

A fair bit, yes. Particularly, both presidential limos, which amazingly seem to be brought to each location, if only for the short drive across the tarmac. it's mostly Blue states that allow day of registration.

It should be allowed, as a provisional ballot, which is only counted, if you return and meet the requirements set forth to validate the ballot. I can't imagine most fraudsters would, so those votes wouldn't be counted.

Maybe keep the tax stamp

Fuck that. The tax stamp is only affordable currently, because there was no provision in the law for it to scale with inflation. $200 in 1934 was a lot of money. It's still a lot of money, particularly on a couple-hundred dollar 22LR suppressor. The paperwork should be a formality, not a requirement.

A suppressor should be encouraged, like hearing protection, and at worst, sold as a serialized item on a 4473.

I have neighbors that just moved here from California.

There's a Trump-Pence sign in their front yard.

Well I'd have to say they escaped California then, and are not the type of folks who encouraged California policies.
