You know, I'm at a similar crossroads where I'm just entering the job market, and I'm probably gonna need to quit soon as well. I'll spare you the details, but while I've been ahead of my peers in a lot of areas, I'm behind them in some other, very important ones. I know conservatives are supposed to be "anti-pot," but I smoked pot every day in college (still do) at a super liberal institution and still turned out pretty based, even went from democrat to republican my sophomore year. What you said definitely applies to a lot of people, but if your kids are critical thinkers (any good parent would nurture that), they'll still be able to peirce through the indoctrination.
