I think I can translate it. Your heart relies on the flow of sodium, calcium and potassium into and out of the cells. Imbalances in any of these mess with the electrical conduction of the heart. While true that too much potassium causes the chambers of the heart to not beat effectively leading to cardiac arrest, we're talking in the neighborhood of gram or more not the trace amounts in something like this (not to mention your body regulates the balance of each of these between the blood and tissues and ultimately your kidneys). Example: I once had a patient take an entire bottle of over the counter potassium supplements (exactly 1 gram), it screwed up his rhythm but didn't kill him.

Most syringes this size I've encountered, the needle is held on by friction (it's a bad design and a pain in the ass when you have to give meds through a needleless port on an IV but it's cheap) . So one explanation is that the syringe and the needle came apart as she was withdrawing it. Another is that yes, you can in fact move a syringe buried up to the hub around more than a broken Atari 2600 controller (trying to sedate someone high on PCP you learn that, as-well-as needles bend rather than break). Due to the obstructed view and poor video quality it hard to tell. Speaking of, I don't think it's intentional. That technique used to be taught for giving an IM injection, it's not the best and some can leak out but it works. If I were going to fake it, I'd take a quality video, give a clear view, do everything textbook, simply inject saline and no one would be the wiser.

Marvin Heemeyer has entered the chat...

“I was always willing to be reasonable until I had to be unreasonable. Sometimes reasonable men must do unreasonable things.”

No, I'm afraid you have mistaken my levity for ignorance. I understand and quite agree with the point being made so you can spare me any further condescension. Ipso facto I'm well acquainted 4th generation (asymmetric, guerilla, call it what you will) warfare .

Go stand outside your local federal building, Senator's or Representative's office, state legislature, etc dressed as a clown. Attract enough attention to get on the local news, tell everyone when you'll be back and invite them to join you. Make connections with the people who stop to support or join you create an organization then ally with other organizations, create political infrastructure. It may be a leftist slogan but it's still valid, "Think global ACT local".

Next they'll be digging up confederate graves and putting stakes through their hearts to guard against the threat of an army of the undead rising up to prevent the coronation... "They said the south will rise again! wE mUsT sToP tHeSe BiGoTs In ThEiR gRaVeS!" This shit's starting to read like someone fed every bad manuscript ever submitted to Soldier of Fortune magazine into a computer and had it come up with a movie plot which Nancy Pelosi then, in a drunken haze, made edits to before being published

I personally prefer some form of the reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks when Sultan Mehmed IV in 1676 demanded they submit to Ottoman rule...

Zaporozhian Cossacks to the Turkish Sultan!

O sultan, Turkish devil and damned devil's kith and kin, secretary to Lucifer himself. What the devil kind of knight are thou, that canst not slay a hedgehog with your naked arse? The devil shits, and your army eats. Thou shalt not, thou son of a whore, make subjects of Christian sons; we have no fear of your army, by land and by sea we will battle with thee, fuck thy mother.

Thou Babylonian scullion, Macedonian wheelwright, brewer of Jerusalem, goat-fucker of Alexandria, swineherd of Greater and Lesser Egypt, pig of Armenia, Podolian thief, catamite of Tartary, hangman of Kamyanets, and fool of all the world and underworld, an idiot before God, grandson of the Serpent, and the crick in our dick. Pig's snout, mare's arse, slaughterhouse cur, unchristened brow, screw thine own mother!

So the Zaporozhians declare, you lowlife. You won't even be herding pigs for the Christians. Now we'll conclude, for we don't know the date and don't own a calendar; the moon's in the sky, the year with the Lord, the day's the same over here as it is over there; for this kiss our arse!>

Precisely the reason Putin is demonized so much is the fact that he is devoutly Orthodox Christian and has done much to return the country to the faith. On several occasions he's publicly chastised both the US and Western Europe for abandoning the faith.

"Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice and moderation in defense of justice is no virtue." - Barry Goldwater

"Violence isn't the only answer, but it is the final answer" - Jack Donovan

The second quote is from an essay on the implicit role violence plays in society titled 'Violence Is Golden' which everyone on here would do well to read.

You can start by reading "SHTF Survival Stories: Memories From The Balkan War" by Selco Begovic. It'll give you an idea of what happens when a country descends into the sort of internecine knife fight that appears to be in our future. You can follow that up with his two other books, "SHTF Survival Bootcamp" and "Dark Secrets of SHTF Survival". You can also start here https://survivalblog.com/newbies/

No problem. Also, I don't know if they sell to the general public but Botach.com carries good composite body armor at awesome prices. I bought level IV rifle plates for the price of level II or III about a year ago.

.... and since most places have a 1-2 month backlog of orders on plates here's a something's better than nothing solution for homemade armor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-FBHZ2gaXU

These guys have a good rep: https://www.ar500armor.com/ar500-armor-body-armor.html

Here's a good rundown of the protection levels: https://www.ar500armor.com/advanceddescription.html

As for gas masks, as much as I hate to say it Amazon may be the most accessible for a lot of people. I wouldn't give over $40 for one of the Israeli surplus. If you wanna go for quality, MSA and Honeywell are good quality brands. That said, any full face (or 1/2 face & goggles) respirator with P100 organic vapor filters from a hardware store will work.

Indeed. When the president leaves the continental US on AF1 this and two airborne refueling tankers assigned to it go too. It's designed to remain airborne and operational for a full week with a staff of 112. Think of it as a flying presidential battle bunker where GEOTUS can directly control the military and nothing or no one can stop him.

This begs the question where is the "Looking Glass" plane?

1
PedeDitchDoc 1 point ago +2 / -1

This is the flying national command center, a so-called doomsday plane developed and hardened to give the president the ability to continue leading the country in the event of nuclear war. The official code name is Nightwatch.

Feels awesome! Much the same story here... I'm about a decade younger. My mother led me by the hand into the voting booth to push the button for Ronald Reagan and let me feed the ballot into the tabulator.

Here's a Goldwater quote to mark the occasion, "Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the defense of justice is no virtue."

It's a reference to the pirate flag, which though it could be a skull and crossed boned or swords, often times was just a plain black flag. So more of a, "surrender or prepare to fight because we plan to conquer you". Interestingly, if a pirate ship raised a red flag it meant unless you surrender now, we won't be taking any prisoners.
