I'm pretty sure I had it in December. The symptoms fit, it lasted like 10 days, and was miserable.

However, I never felt sick enough to go to the doctor so I never got tested for flu or have a record of symptoms.

I've only met people who claim to know young people who died from it.... failing to realize that the data is public and the numbers don't match what they say

The medical workers at my job say I should do something... ? well... they are the ones that gave me MRSA! Luckily I'm allergic to cillin's, so I was saved by my own attention to detail (the Urgent Care doc originally prescribed pennicilin... and i caught it before I left)

We get 60 to 80k deaths to flu a season, which is only 3 or 4 months.... and 120k deaths in 6 months puts us exactly on par with a flu.

My company is going woke. I do not do the "mandatory training" things. Have been threatened multiple times for censorship. I talk to my coworkers about it, trying to get them to do the same. I work manufacturing, the data on productivity and "casualty control" is closely monitored by policy. We make more parts and have less downtime. Official records show us having the same problems as other shifts yet we don't get the hours of downtime. They will feel the pain when we're gone.

I'm going to another company. I live like I'm still poor, every month I'm still there (probably less than a month now) I'm able to live longer between jobs. I have an overland/boondocking rig now. I'm helping my neighbors with being more self sufficient, by teaching them about aquaponics and trying to help them manage their funds better.

I'm standing up AND taking self preservation measures. The more people that do the same, the better off we all are. The trump economy has been great and I've made a load of money because of it. I didn't spend it all, so now I have the power to tell these places to fuck off.

I am leading by example. I'm in the process of leaving my company, if I don't get fired first by resisting these policies.

Save your money. Pinch pennies. I make 80k - 120k a year, and live like I still make $10/hr. Every month I'm still employed is another 3 weeks I can go without a job. I'm ready, I'm fighting, and I'm trying to get others to do the same.

Too many here are afraid for the short term effects while talking about the long term fears.
