I appreciate his efforts but I just believe the calm assurance and track record of Noem coupled with a firebrand like Gaetz/Hawley would energise young and old alike. Trump had to fire the cutting wit because Pence was a wet blanket - this left him open to political attacks regarding immaturity and unprofessionalism.

Cool story mate....but....having worked in a sensitive Department of Defence establishment I can tell you it wouldn’t matter if you were the Prime Minister, you were going via the metal detectors etc if you wanted access. If any alarm was triggered you were searched. My “dissenting opinion” is based on lived experience.

Even though he tried to give the ‘airs and graces‘ of a strong leader in these revolutionary times, in the end the Dems and their collaborators had more gumption. The next leader of the movement needs to be a ‘street fighter’ from common stock. One thing I would ask of him is to step aside gracefully and financially support the new leader.
