Prayers for Rush.

I will have to say about 10 years ago Rush was promoting a hearing implant device that I ended up getting and still have. Many years pass and due to my curriosity I learned the CEO and President of that company eventually left and started a new one humanitylifeextension.com

I don't know much about the field but sometimes I just can't help but to wonder...

Over 100k now. Watching RSBN's viewership grow over the years have been a pretty neat experience.

I just now decided to search .win to see if anyone has posted this and here it is. Neato. I've been following deepcapture/Patrick Byrne for awhile now and will say that this is definitely worth the read. 'Deep capture the movie' is also worth the watch as well in case you're wondering. Would be cool to see this get stickied.

That's the best ending I have seen for anything in my entire life.

It really is awesome technology. I've worn the hearing aids for about 10 years prior to getting the implant and I do believe that this is superior to hearing aids for specific hearing loss (sensorineural). I also must admit that it is really nice not having to worry about hearing aids. The changes the ACA forced upon this country made it impossible for innovations such as this to succeed. The implant's status was changed to a 'cosmetic' procedure which none of the insurance companies across the board would cover. Anyone who wanted this implant would have to pay 100% out of pocket no matter who their provider is. I have heard of a few stories of people being able to negotiate coverage, although very rare. I have about half a dozen other reasons to rant about on why this implant isn't more widely used or updated (old battery sucks, which means more expensive surgeries) but that's for another post and time haha

I've had a hearing implant that is completely under the skin for 10 years now. Powered by a pacemaker battery that is implanted above the ear. Surely they have a bluetooth type prototype or something that I don't know about.
