I can certainly see that viewpoint. For all we know, they had the meat and potatoes of the suits ready to go. They still needed to collect evidence though. You have to be able to show actual damage in a court of law. So even though a state made unconstitutional changes prior to the election, they need to be able to present evidence that X amount of votes are illegal. They need to use actual election data to determine that.
Excellent question. I believe they are. They were put forth by each state's GOP party, which represent the Republican legislators. I see a lot of people say that they don't matter, because they weren't certified, but you'll never have two slates of electors that are both certified. That just goes beyond logic. In a contested election, one slate of electors won't be certified. People much better versed in Constitutional law than me will be answering that question in the coming weeks.You also have some Reps and Sens who will be objecting to the electoral vote on the 6th, which I don't think would be the case if Rudy and Jenna hadn't met with each state's legislators as they did.
I wouldn't say that. They've done a fine job, actually. Though no court would touch a case with a 10 foot pole, they did an excellent job presenting evidence to to each of the swing state's legislators and as a result, there are dual slates of electors for 7 states now. Of course, they needs to shut up and get out of the way of Trump wants to use the Insurrection Act. Jenna shouldn't be running her mouth about that at all.
