With the most recent gaffes, long pauses, and blunders (see "n**gered"), how can this guy possibly give a state of the union address? The past 4 president's SOTU's have averaged over an hour in length. I searched the internet and it seems like the speech date is still "TBD" and I even see the makings of the MSM creating a narrative blaming COVID for Biden's inability to deliver the speech. A headline from WaPo reads, "The Daily 202: The pandemic could cost Biden a big platform.." and the first line of text says, "President Biden is unlikely to give a normal State of the Union address." You can't read the rest of the article without subscribing to the WaPo, and fuck that noise. Presidents almost always give this speech in February. Lol, either way I've got my popcorn ready for this clown show.

I’ve been hearing recommendations lately from political and social commentators whom I follow, to get out of the cities, move to the country, become more self-sufficient, etc. While I agree with the sentiment, and wish it were possible for me, it’s frankly just not. Nor is it possible, I suspect, for many other people. After all, if everyone did it, we would just find ourselves all clustered and congregated once again. The goal of such a move would be to put yourself in a position protect yourself and your loved ones in the event of civil unrest (rioting, looting, vandalism, violence, etc.). Often these things stay located in urban centers, but what would we do if they started spilling into the suburbs? If you live in the city, my recommendation would be to come seek refuge in the suburbs, but for those of us who live in a suburban community and would like to continue to do so in peace, we need to be ready to defend that peace and community.

My idea, which is very much still in its infancy, is to start a community group called the Constitutional Community Preservation Alliance (CCPA). My local organization would also be preceded by the name of my town, which is Cary. I don’t want to put the cart before the horses here, but my long term idea is that other towns would adopt the same name structure including their town or suburb name, making it easier for adjacent town members to find each other and collaborate. Our goal would be simply to create a network of local, like-minded patriots who would be prepared to call upon one another and convene in the event that those who wish to destroy or otherwise disrupt our communities should arrive. Our position, both on paper and in spirit, would be entirely defensive and reactive, not offensive. My hope in making that clear would be to avoid being targeted as some kind of radical group. (Although if it came to that, we would already have the network and organization in place, but Shhhhhhhh, don’t tell them that).

So far, I’ve created an e-mail account (using a false name just in case), set up a Facebook profile under that name, and created a Facebook group. My next idea is to have some cheap yard signs made up and put them on walking routes in my community. The signs would have the name of the group, some main bullet points, and the e-mail address. Then I’ll wait to see if I get any bites. I realize that in a truly dystopian scenario, Facebook and e-mail would get censored and shut down, but my thought is that this kind of thing could be useful before we would get to that point.

I’m posting this here to get some feedback on the idea. Does it sound feasible? What other things do I need to consider? Thanks for reading and any feedback is much appreciated.
