At what point do we conclude that calling him Mr Trump or Donald conveys more respect than President?
Wrong. That election was still under the old rules where 2nd place got VP (Jefferson was VP when he came second to Adams; they were political opponents). Jefferson and Burr were 50/50 for a couple of rounds of voting in the EC until someone was convinced to change their vote from Burr to Jefferson, giving Jefferson the win. Thus, Jefferson still only won by 2 votes (over Burr, who became his first VP). The Constitution was amended to the "ticket" format after that election.
They might try Pence. Pretty sure not even the RINOs believe they can run Jeb or Mitt and get away with it.
Just curious, does she ever actually go back to Wyoming? Or would she be too afraid of the voters there?
What you're missing is that high level content requires video editing and marketing skills that are actually meaningful. There's actually work involved, even though it looks like they're doing nothing useful, much like management or finance appears to most people.
"Where was Hoover when we needed him. I stand with Roosevelt!" sigh I think most of us are living in the past at this point. The present sucks and the future looks worse...
Makes you wonder, did Trump ever have anyone decent in the pool to choose from? The thought that Barr may really have been Trump's best option may be a depressing reality we have to face.
Of course they're two parties competing. They're just not competing the way you think they are. They compete for the affections and rewards of the Deep State. That's still competing right?
Why would they go to all that effort when they can take a few seconds to post it themselves and take a screenshot?
Pyrrhic victory if there every was one. There's a lot more loyalty for Trump than the GOP at this point. I've been a Republican my entire life, but if they vote against Trump in the senate, I'll never vote Republican again.
I feel like Mitch is one of those actors that wants a character killed off when they don't want to play the role anymore: if he can't be Majority leader, then no Republican should ever be Majority Leader again.
Those are big shoes to fill. I can only hope we're really up to the task.
As hard a pill as it is to swallow, we do have to accept that some people vote Democrat due to ignorance rather than malice. Not Spez of course.
You waited to get banned? You have more patience than I. I just deleted my account after they banned Trump. Well, after I unfriended my entire friends list (Cortez burned his ships, etc.). A more dedicated Pede would have made a more fiery exit I suppose, but I accept my limitations.
MN has a long history of third party politics, and the blue streak through most of the 20th century is actually because the Farmer-Labor party became so dominant, that the state Dems went for a merger to make the current DFL party to stay relevant. Their power base was working class citizens in farming or industry. It's not surprising they went for the lightweight communist class-based rhetoric of the DFL back in those days. That party actually did listen and did care a little about their concerns.
Times have changed. Dems have abandoned the working class, and they swapped their (failed) class-based rhetoric for a race/ethnic-based division, which doesn't play well with their old constituents. Industrial jobs have been shipped off, and now the Dems depend on white-collar government worker unions. So many people who put their faith in the old DFL have left for Trump territory in response. I'm starting to see Biden signs now in some of the farm areas, suggesting they still thing the Dems have a better offer (maybe a long-term opportunity here), but the current base is the woke left in the urban core that bleeds into the suburbs. The challenges here are now the same as every other state at this point. We need to convince those urban dwellers that Dem policies have failed them, that woke insanity will destroy us and to give new management and new ideas a try. That so many are newer arrivals makes that job harder: they haven't witnessed the history of the areas they move to; they bring in their own preconceptions based on their old homes.
This isn't the left coast, or Illinois. We're not insolvent and there is still enough sense and integrity to support the kind of awakening that will put this country back on the path to greatness. We just have to keep opening eyes, waking people up, and convincing them to embrace greatness rather than managed decline. I know that the 10 votes here aren't key to reelection, and he's likely to be denied them anyway due to cheating or certification delays, but winning MN would be such a powerful symbol of the rise of MAGA and the defeat of the Deep State operation, that I continue to pray for it. Keep up the faith, and keep up the struggle, and it could happen. Trump is probably the first president since Nixon to speak to those old DFL voters; a lot of them are listening.
Ok, lets start with the basics. Who did 9news send the payment to? If it wasn't Pinkerton, then they lied, full stop. If it was, then Pinkerton's cop-out is BS; they got paid to provide security and that is who was sent.
Yep. It's 2020; everyone's worried about the election and the "optics" of what they do. It's "Stand back and stand down". In 2021, the voting will be over, and events will unfold differently. Be cautious and be prepared; could be messy out there.
Irrelevant. The charge of immorality only matters against Republicans, because only Republicans care about morality. The most central, sacred plank of the Democrat party platform is "the baby killing must continue". When that's where you make your stand, why would a little infidelity or corruption surprise or offend? Democrats are all about "the ends justify the means"; this won't bother them.
Won DC too, but no other states.
It will be the Proud Boys shooting communists after the Deep State Coup, which is what they're actually worried about. You think they care about a target being looted?
The painful part is that it plays into the plans of the Democrats too. If they can't hide their fraud well enough to put their pawn in, then they can at least use the suspicion to fuel the lawsuits needed to delay certification to seat Electors, Reps, and Senators so they can rig the votes they need in Congress. They win no matter how it spins in the media.
If the EC fails to produce a winner (which requires a majority, not just a plurality; they just need to keep Trump Electors from casting their ballots), then the House chooses the President, and the Senate the VP, with each state having a single vote (chosen by majority of the delegation). Amendment 20 allows them to pass law to deal with a candidate death however they see fit (so sacrificing Biden lets them play fast and loose with who they vote for), but both options require them to play games in the Senate. If they can't rig the senate vote, Pence becomes VP and fills in for a missing President, or becomes VP for whoever the House picks (and how long will Biden last?).
They have two obvious plays at this point; 1) the house vote is from the top 3 EC finalists. So expect some Dem Electors to cast a Harris vote for Pres to make her 3rd place so the House can pick her over Biden, to keep Pence from inheriting the office from Biden. 2) Make sure Biden doesn't survive to the vote, so they can easily bump Harris up (either by express legal act, or relying on earlier Constitutional language).
Once you understand that their definition of "white supremacist" includes anyone who identifies as an American Patriot and supports the limited government of the constitution and natural rights of the Declaration of Independence, their logic actually begins to make sense. They're not talking about the threat of 2020, where the left is rioting in the streets. They can put that down whenever they feel those people have outlived their usefulness. They're worried about the threat after their coup attempt this election. If they do managed to steal the election and overthrow the republic, those patriots will be an exceptionally dangerous threat to them, which is why they're actually worried about it.
Did you think Biden was ever going to agree to a debate under fair conditions? The only way Trump (or any republican really) can get a Democrat to show up is to let them have home field advantage; and Trump still dominates enough to make it worth the compromise.
I can only suggest that you clearly have the appropriate tool for the stock market right now. It needs a good smashing. =)
