If the idiots of the various lame-stream media weren't so infected with severe TDS causing the need to go "orange man bad/crazy/insane/stupid" no matter what is said, they might have taken the time to note that use of UVC light internally via endoscopy was patented nearly ten years ago for (1) treatment of Heliobacter Pylori (stomach), and (2) via bronchoscopy for treatment of respiratory infections even earlier, the latter device including the ability to inject anti-microbial solutions simultaneously.
There are other similar patents and/or research papers. Hell, a review of such technologies is available, open access, on the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) site from a peer-reviewed journal.
