We used to be embarrassed by these things. Imagine telling your parents why you have to go to the hospital...
Yes. The flu comes and goes every year my kids are clueless. But they know covid is why school is closed, sports were cancelled, birthday parties were cancelled, and they have to wear masks to participate in anything. I’ve tried to keep things as normal as possible. We’ve been going wherever is open. We haven’t stopped but it’s getting very tiring pretending this is still “a thing”.

Like I said, personal choice. I think the amount of people who have died or had severe reactions isn’t something to be ignored. I’ve had a few coworkers who said they got pretty sick from the first shot and weren’t planning on the second one. Some said they felt fine, but long term effects are unknown. Many of the people who died from “covid” (or covid related as the cdc likes to say) lived in nursing homes where it spread like wildfire, or had several comorbidities. Or fell off a ladder. Personally I don’t feel it’s necessary to take the chance, and most of the population probably doesn’t need to either. Also, you can still spread it and still have to wear a mask.
We do know about it. Now you can say the amount of people who hve died or had severe side effects is small, and so far it is, but the risk of dying from getting the virus and recovering from it is minuscule. The benefits do not outweigh the risks. I won’t judge anyone for getting the vaccine, your body your choice, but I don’t understand why anyone would be the first to sign up for it.
Super cheap medicines with very little side effects if any are a better way out of this pandemic than experimental vaccines never used in people before. I’m no scientist.

If anyone is politicizing covid it’s the leftists. Why is it right vs left? Because people on the left are dumb enough to believe the government is telling the truth. They probably thought they’d get checks too. Masks, shutdowns, and distancing were NEVER about our health. Cigarettes and junk food are still legal, people who need insulin are getting charged hundreds per month, you can drive and park your car at a bar and get right back in it when youve had a few. People are homeless and starving, kids are committing suicide from not being in school, cancer patients aren’t getting treatment because of covid. They don’t care if we live or die. When will it be enough for the left also?
