I though were all striving for peace and prosperity. Yes, we disagreed on how to achieve that. Some believe in basic income, others in the spirit of private enterprise but at least I felt like there could be a debate and exchange of ideas that would leave to a better outcome for everyone.

What has happened in the last few hours has shown that none of it matters. Whatever gets decided at the top gets imposed on us mere peasants with the uttermost disregard. I feel so powerless.
