So, what if President Trump got up this morning and "Declared Martial Law"? If he hasn't done all the work of getting his cabinet on board and the military brass on board, then it would simply blow up.

Scenario 1 - Pence and some military leaders are not on board. Trump declares Martial Law. Pence goes to Congress. In lightning fashion, they convene a panel and declare President Trump unfit. Pence signs it. Trump is removed until he can object. Pence cancels the order and arrests anyone who was on board with Trump.

Scenario 2 - Pence is on board, but some of the key military leaders are not. Leaders slow roll the response while the Senate holds a 2 hour impeachment hearing. Trump is removed

So, for the love of God get it finally!!! It's not a simple thing that the President is trying to pull off. If he fails, it is not for lack of trying.

So, assuming that the military option is an option, what would you think are the counter-measures for that option? Surely the enemy is aware of this option if we are. So, do they just hang their heads in defeat and dutifully march off to the gallows?

What other counter-measures? Would you consider the vaporization of a US to be acceptable collateral damage? Would the military leadership agree with that assessment?

There is no such thing as "just do it" when dealing with an epic battle for control of the most powerful and most wealthy nation in human history. Massive forces have aligned in battle. Both sides are infiltrated. both sides have experienced setbacks, screwups, betrayal and failure. "Just do it" implies that he controls the decisions and actions of a massive number of people. Some of these people will be aware of a small sliver of the plan, some won't know anything at all.

There's no such thing as "If Trump acts....." Figure it out, he is acting. He's already a hero. He's already risked EVERYTHING for the Republic. Maybe he succeeds or maybe he fails, but there is no question that he has already acted.

Interesting thing - if a positive COVID test renders one a public safety threat, it seems that refusing to comply with health protocols would render one a domestic terrorist per the Patriot Act. This means that when someone is scooped up to COVID camp, it would be illegal to discuss the quarantine with anyone.

I would watch for similar language in whatever quarantine camp laws that they pass. They could frame it as preventing public panic.

If these COVID camps start to be enforced in the US, that'll be my red line. I'll take the family off grid to some sanctuary county in Texas or something.
