The two Republican legislators from Wayne County just rescinded their votes to certify the votes from Detroit. They signed affidavits claiming they were bullied over Wednesday’s zoom call, and were coerced into voting for certification. Further, both legislators attested that certification should not take place until an audit is performed due to major irregularities in the votes received from Wayne County, specifically the Detroit area.

Doing the right thing here will ensure that both Georgians and Americans maintain faith in the integrity of our electoral system. The best way to facilitate a fair and accurate recount, recanvas, and audit process would be for the requests outlined in Representative Collins' letter to be followed. This includes allowing sufficient observers, hand counts of each ballot, verification of signatures on absentee and mail-in ballots, and to allow sufficient time to verify results before certification. This is an election integrity issue, and people's belief in the election system is dependent upon how they handle this recount/audit in the state of Georgia. The Secretary of State's current instructions does not adhere to the promises he made about a "fair" recount. Do not betray the trust of your CONSTITUENTS. We are counting on you to do the right thing.
