My dog of 11 years passed last Wednesday around midnight. Life still sucks today, we knew he didn’t have a lot of time due to a degenerative disease that was paralyzing him, but we thought we had 1-4 months before we had to decide to put him down. Unfortunately a random seizure unexpectedly took him. He spent his last few hours never recovering from it.
I am constantly mad at myself, things I should have done or could have done.
Vacuuming the floors makes me feel like I’m removing the last bit of him from my life.
I’ll give you advice I personally cannot realize hoping you can. They lived a long and good life loved and “I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.”
My best friend was the embodiment of that poem, he survived a lot of true hardships in his life and never stopped being our family rock.
There are no right answers and however you feel later know simply he was a wild thing that loved you.

I hate the term "progressives" because it makes any alternative idea "regressive" and they shouldn't get to claim progress over everything that was good and assign everything else "regressive" despite their own adoption of those ideas they try to distance themselves from today.
And change isn't always good, litmus test for "progressives" let's outlaw and enforce a 30 year minimum sentence for anyone who disagrees with abortion is a right... That's change right?
