I used to wonder this as well, same with Sebastian Gorka. The truth is that guys like Bannon and Gorka were always going to be more effective in the field doing the dirty work rather than sitting in the whitehouse with other usual staff. Both are warriors much like Trump. Best use is to deploy them as needed
