Would be nice, but I highly doubt it. Over 60% of the population lives in the NYC metropolitan area and 40% in the city limits alone, even with people leaving doesn’t mean they will not vote blue wherever they end up upstate or out of the city.

If a democrat wins then the will of the people has spoken. They assume power. If they aren’t given power it must have been stolen from them. In my experience not on a personal giving level persay, but it’s really a 20/80 split on a lot of decisions. Not for any negative reason, it’s just I only care about the 20% of important decisions, the other 80% is honey do type stuff which doesn’t matter, it’s like “we should get new towels” But when it comes to the big decisions regarding finance and safety I use that veto and it works out pretty well.
