Well looking at your username, glad to see another pede proud of their ASD.
You'll also want to stock up on a few things:
Tools: Lighter is always better, the less you need to carry, the better, for reasons I'm sure you can figure out pretty quickly.
So you'll want fishing line (for a bunch of different uses) Flint (for starting fires) a tactical poncho (Most can be used as a makeshift tent natively, so it's use for that, too) some means of cooking. A portable pan and pot should serve most needs. At least three different types of knives (a pocket knife for general use and constant availability, an American Tanto or Japanese Wakizashi if you're feeling particularly bold (full-tang only),
and a serrated blade (for both cutting meats and can also be used as a deterrent in certain circumstances. (Being stabbed with a serrated blade is going to ruin your body on the way out. Its a gruesome sight if done in a brutal manner, enough to scare the less hardened off, if they're paying attention.)
Also idk what the laws regarding crossbows are in Texas, but I highly recommend it as a far less noticeable alternative. You'll likely end up using it more often than your guns. Strictly due to volume. After all, the less sound you make, the safer you typically are. Plus crossbow ammo is far easier to make yourself than bullets are.
Also, a desalinator, I haven't done a bunch of research into them yet, as I'm still working On my own bugout bag, but highly recommended, especially in Texas where there's plenty of desert spots.
Also, stock up on any medication or start weening yourself off if you take any, that, aside from ammunition, will be the one of the first scarcities to happen.
I also have made a habit of burying small supply caches in forested areas (I live in New England, so lots of woodland) throughout my surrounding 40 mile radius in places I visit relatively frequently so I can get out and not need to worry quite as much about my supplies.
That is probably an easier task where you are, since everything in places like Texas are far more spread out than the clusterfuck we have here.
As far as shops, I live on the other end of the country, so sol there XD
Hope this helps, pede!
If we end all foreign aid, we lose our financial power over China, then they get a chance to rebound, and we'll be back to where we were before
