I respect that. I do believe in god. I also respect people with other religions that are practiced without harming others. The main point in my comment was that I feel reddit was a source of contention between religions. Specifically Atheists against Christians and I didn’t like that.

I think that they came for what you stated above, but or founders were smart enough and decent enough to include everyone. So I think you can be a based American and not have any belief in god of any kind. I think are founders would be ok with that.
People came to this country in part to be able to practice what beliefs they held. Freedom of religion is protected by the first amendment. Doesn’t say which religions. Believe in god, don’t believe in god. Christian, Muslim, Sikh, I don’t give a fuck. We all want the same shit. Having respect for others beliefs is an important part of our culture.
