Step one: Donald trump was elected president and the world did not end as predicted

Step two: Donald trump did several things I thought were sensible good moves but the news reporting on them was the same hysterical pitch of "everything he does is monstrous". My actual turning point was khamenei, where everyone was shrieking about world war 3 when there's not a chance that if Obama had done it they wouldn't have been licking his boots about such a brilliant solution. (it was brilliant, it completely deescalated the situation and cut off Iran)

Step three: so then it became obvious that Donald Trump could end poverty, solve world hunger, and bring world peace and the media would still be sobbing about orange man bad

Step four: so I realized my entire perception of orange man bad was from things I'd heard in the media but if you looked at actual things he did in real life instead of their delusional alternate reality he's been fine

Step five: I also finally realized what I considered his "disgraceful" twitter behavior was just playing a role for maximum headlines and faux Liberal outrage which made it much less scary/off putting (it helped to read an old askreddit thread, linked to in a comment from the old sub, where people described interactions with trump in person which were all normal, non-twitter-persona stuff)

So now I'm excited to vote for him this time around, yay!
