The one that irritates me is the conspiracy that they have a secret vaccine for HIV. Nah. The way HIV works means it may be forever unvaccinable. Vaccines require a functional, healthy immune system to work. Since HIV directly attacks your leukocytes, they can never be healthy enough to fight the virus, so you can't vaccinate for it.

Imagine if your body were fighting off an alien invader. Your 'soldiers' have weapons but they don't work against the special shields this alien has. Your scientists rapidly manufacture new weapons until they find one that penetrates the shields, then they hand out the weapons to everyone, and hopefully they found the solution before the aliens killed everyone.

Vaccines basically give practice aliens for your soldiers to fight and test weapons against. Then when the real aliens show up, they have the weapons already.

Except HIV is clever, and it just blows up the factory where your scientists are working and the weapons are made. Your soldiers are useless and ineffective and you literally cannot make new weapons because the invader just keeps blowing up the factories and killing the scientists.

Spending money or energy to influence elections outside your jurisdiction should be a fucking 50 year prison sentence.

The thing is the entire "oath to the constitution" isn't even a good argument. The military isn't the police, and which article of the constitution was clearly violated? Technically everything was done "in accordance with". It's not like they skipped counting EC votes and just declared Biden a winner. And it's not like we want the military somehow acting as federal police and... I don't know... Bombing Atlanta because of accusations of electoral impropriety.

Nobody can ever explain:

1. Who in the military should've done "something"... is it supposed to be rogue commanders? Entire battalions? Majcoms? No one entity can realistically do much alone.

2. What exactly were they supposed to do? Bomb the capital?

3. How would they have any legitimacy? The military is forbidden from operating on US soil so wouldn't that have been 'violating their oath'?

4. Again, if the entire military are traitors how is it that the top commander is absolved?
