Harrowing story. I'm in suburban Dallas here, and thought we had it rough. I cant imagine the looming uncertainty you've endured. We never lost city gas or water, but we do have some burst pipes. We're fortunate that I hunt, and kids were scouts, so we had a lot more gear than our neighbors. We delivered some extra firewood to folks with nothing (also thankful for my Jeep). I think this event will do two things - wake people up that ERCOT and the independent Texas grid is still subject to the whims of the Feds, and no one will make fun of preppers again. Glad to hear you're safe and warm, fren. God bless you!
I wish "nobody gives a shit about your tampons" would also apply to "no one gives a shit about your guns" but these lefties take offense and outrage at everything.
When they start regulating and banning your gash-rags the way they do firearms, then you'll be 'clever' with this kind of attention-seeking nonsense.
But thanks for demonstrating once again how leftists are totally tone-deaf.
Maybe take a break from gaming, and take up something that's less online. I play single-player games almost exclusively lately because everyone seems to either have their panties in a wad, or a stick up their ass. I've also taken to hunting IRL, hiking, chopping wood, getting out. No pop-up when you level up a skill but feels way better. I love playing video games, but no game has given me more "achievements" than stepping away from the keyboard and mouse... find something real you can try, might change your perspective. Consider it a side-quest. Good luck, fren.
From what I'm hearing, the local energy commission decided to keep selling power to neighboring states instead of delivering to kocal Texans.
The rolling blackouts are so they dont default on sales contracts to other states.
But yes, this will have a lot of Texans demanding improvements.
