Just had this conversation with my very liberal dentist about being forced to pay her non salaried workers more than she has to give. My area is adopting these same laws with incremental increases and as a new practice she is already strapped. She’s worried that the policies for which she voted will kill her ability to take on new customers and also have to fire an employee. I really gloated in her face because as a millennial she is very vocal about her liberal, anti-Trump opinion. I could see the red pill going down her throat like a fish in a pelican’s gullet.

I want to believe this, but it doesn’t hold water. The reality is this goes beyond conservatives and democrats and into a realm of human insecurities. People simply have never had to stand up for themselves and have decided that their weakness is actually an exercise in “taking the high ground”. When a man takes a punch and doesn’t fight back, he knows he’s a little bitch, but dissonance will kick in to protect the feeble ego. “It’s not worth it” or “love trumps hate” type of sentiments will rise to the surface in an effort to minimize the fact that you are allowing the acts of another man to control you. This is what I call the flight or flight condition. It can be broken, but not unless you first accept that protecting yourself and your property is of the utmost importance. Once you do that and the smell of fear has faded, you become less of a target. Violence and the willingness to fight is a valuable tool for a man once gained. I’m positive if balled up fists were flying in both directions, there would be fewer instances of this one sided shit we see where someone who should be knocked the fuck out just carries on uncontested.

I’ve been to some in my area and they checked I.D.’s to see if you lived in the county. Totally tamps down the numbers of those allowed in.
