Army personnel were able to buy guns easily from the Army Barracks store. Most of the Walther TPs were in a higher calibur (.25 I think), and less than 500 of the .22lr version like I have made it to the US before the German export ban. This is the only thing I inherited from my father when he passed away, and I hope to be buried with this gun when my sunset happens.
