This is how it should have been since last spring. Simply being out in public puts each individual at a certain level of risk. No safety measures can lower that risk to a point where you should feel adequately protected from viral spread while out in public. Therefore, when you go out in public, you're accepting the fact that you're placing yourself at risk. Take whatever measures you feel will help protect you, but don't leave your house, then impose on others.
She claims everyone else failed her son. In her mind, the fault doesn't fall on her shoulders. She believes her son is a victim of the school system. I do think her son is a victim. His biological parents have failed him more than any school system ever could.
When the Robert E. Lee statue was horribly vandalized here in Richmond, advocates claimed that the graffiti help to paint a more accurate picture and reflected a wider narrative than what was initially intended. They believed that the vandalism was an improvement on the piece.

Burning & looting aren't ethical or justified. If you don't like their policy, then either don't wear a mask in their store in protest, or don't shop at their stores in protest. Actual peaceful protests. Once you burn & loot, you're no better than the Antifa/BLM buffoons.
