Something in the virus affects some people like a watered down version of rabies. They lose all sense of right and wrong. People who already have a predilection to lying, cheating, and stealing completely lose that "what if I get caught" filter that most sane people have. They lose touch with any empathy or compassion they may have had prior to the outbreak. Logic and reason take a backseat to greed and bloodlust. On the other hand, those who are decent, hard working, empathetic, God-fearing people are absolutely dumbfounded by the bizarre actions of the rest of the nation. They can't bring themselves to stray from their codes of conduct, their honour, and their desire to help others. (That's where the other side swoops in and takes us out at the knees.) Their moral compass stays true even when they can feel the opposition drawing a bead on them. So, yeah, half the country has gone full on Cujo.
If people are freezing and without food or power is anyone from the gov't stepping up? I know Biden/Harris are not getting involved. They're too busy whining about Trump. We're getting ready in Virginia for another round of ice & snow. I grew up in the boonies so we always had to be prepared. Always have a backup. A Plan B.
I was out of power for awhile and couldn't keep up with the site. Talk about withdrawals! From the final day of the impeachment "trial"...Before my power went out they decided to drag it out with witnesses. I saw Trump's guy tell them they had to give him the same ability and that he had had only eight days to prepare. The next thing I know they are taking a vote on Trump's guilt. I foresee his good buddy John Hynansky entering into the deal. He was Biden's neighbour in Delaware. Owned a bunch of car dealerships in the US. Decided to move to the mother land of Ukraine and set up shop there. Hynansky has been donating to Biden his entire career. He also bailed out Biden's brother by loaning him $500k (?) to pay the mortgage on the Biden summer compound. Last I read he was jumping into electric cars.

It just pissed me off. Maybe someone can tell me if this is right: Biden is signing all of these EO because they would never make it thru congress. Is that about right? I remember Harris saying that if she wanted something done she would bypass congress and just write an EO for it. I thought that was a bit presumptuous at the time but I guess not really. And, if that is the case, then why even bother with congress changing the election laws? He could take care of that with a stroke of his mighty pen, too. I really am tired. Someone please 'splain it to me.
She introduced Paul Gosar of Arizona and granted him five minutes. Two minutes in Gosar asked the chair for order in the chamber. We then see that Nancy is gone. The chair tries to regain order. After three more minutes the chair declares a recess. Nancy had about a five minute head start over everyone else in the chamber to vacate. Things that make you go "hmmm....".
