To the establishment a โcitizenโ is anyone who resides within US borders, legal or illegal, meaning the federal government has the legal right to mandate state level compliance to a warped interpretation of the Bill of Rights. This effectively means that what were formerly natural rights given by God are now legal privileges granted to us by the federal government.
So is their plan to just hold the country hostage and pray no one has the balls to organize a legit rebellion?

Goes back even farther my friend, the โAnti-Federalistsโ who opposed the new Constitution were right on the money. The alleged โweaknessesโ of the Articles of Confederation like congress having no power to levy taxes, enforce โfederalโ law or declare war were features not weaknesses. The only reason we even have the bill of rights was thanks to the โAnti-Federalistsโ, without those amendments our government would have had completely unrestrained power the likes of which Great Britain could have only dreamed of. All the checks on power the Federalists designed still depend on people to enforce them which effectively made them utopian and utterly meaningless(see today where all branches now work in concert with each other rather than against each other as intended).
Hell even the idea that those who opposed the new constitution were โanti-federalistsโ is bullshit. Those who opposed the new constitution did so because it directly contradicted the true Federalism the revolution was fought to realize.
This doesnโt mean the Constitution is โbadโ because it isnโt, my point is there was a lot of shady shit going on then just like now where you had those with power attempting to justify further consolidation under the guise of โunityโ which is and was never what America was about.
