I, for one, am never voting again (unless Trump runs again, just for the hell of it). As the expression goes, "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch."
Democracy inevitably devolves into mob rule where the majority demands free stuff and tramples the rights and property of the minority (this is not necessarily meant in an ethnic sense). The American Founding Fathers repeatedly denounced democracy.
The word "democracy" or "democratic" appears in the United States Constitution exactly zero times. The word "Republican" appears in the Constitution one time.

Also, the current system does not even pretend to allow actual "democracy," when the result of an election does not go their way. Votes of the people in the states are routinely overturned by nine unelected people in black robes (see 2008 California Proposition 8).

The Constitution was designed to provide checks and balances and prevent mob rule, both in the structure of federalism, bicameralism, and the separation of powers. The Constitutional Republic our Founders envisioned no longer exists.
Further, the Trump administration and the 2020 election revealed that the President essentially does not have real executive power, compared to the administrative state of unelected career bureaucrats, and that mass voter fraud and corruption is enabled and protected by this system.
Not only does the President not actually have the power entrusted to him by the Constitution as the people's highest elected nation-wide representative and chief executive, but the President is not in fact chosen by the people, via a fair and transparent election law system determined by the people and state legislatures, as the Constitution demands.
Many states do not even require photo ID to vote. That alone reveals how absurdly backward and fraudulent the United States electoral system is. Such a standard is literally laughed at in third-world countries, where they acknowledge the obvious truth that human beings often cheat, including in elections. Basically all other developed nations require identification to vote, as you might expect.
