I just wish music streaming sites like spotify would allocate subscription fees proportionately to the artists I most listen to......if i spend all my time listening to my fav band that month then that artist should get a bigger piece of my monthly pie imo instead of the few cents they get now.

The big issue with the music industry is supply of good music keeps inflating while the number of hours we all have to listen to it remains more or less constant so there is virtually no chance of "making it" in the music industry unless your are heavily promoted by corporate interests or get lucky and go viral.
