I doubt Hong Kong rioters infiltrated the US, most of those rioters were pro-US in their message. Someone in that twitter feed mentioned it might have been Chinese journalists on scene covering what was happening. Also, why would a Chinese official tip off the US on something like that? It would give away their tactics. I’m more suspect about something like that coming out of China’s mouth more than anything (remember when they said they though the US Army sent a team to China to spread Covid-19?).
There most likely is Chinese influence with these riots, but my guess would be through channeling money to help stimulate them. China has spy networks in this country, especially in Universities (both professors and students).
