Yes those very policies that were cheered by some (most?) have been turned on us. Talk about irony.

It's tough to take but we have to fix this going forward and getting these issues back on the political agenda.

Terrific post, Highspergamy.

They have done nothing wrong. They shouldn't be in prison for MONTHS. At least bail them for fucks sake

They probably will here but you never know.

There are a few backstabbers but they need 10 ...

He has done a great service the last few weeks.

Keep up the pressure...

I think I have been paying attention . Rand is not bought off and that is clear. Most of his donors are small donations from ordinary and retired people. Look for yourself (opensecrets.org). Also check his No votes against the swamps agenda: big spending, war and restrictions of civil liberties

Rand is no swamp creature. Lobbyists dont even bother with him and he frequently votes against their agenda

Aye .

Rarely post them because of their behaviour but this is the first member of the media to call for a prosecution.... hopefully more pick it up

they're digital tokens,.. only worth what some fool is willing to pay ... and there's lots of fools!

Trump's instinct is right on this (IMO) though I'm sure some will disagree. That's fine, too.

I cannot speak for him... All I can do is point you to his tweets around the time if you want to look them up.

His answer I think to this from my bad memory was that election integrity bills needed to be passed in the various states. He was one of the few senators that acknowledged fraud occurred

Because he felt Congress should not pick the president and the Electors sent by GOP CONTROLLED State Legislatures should be seated

It sets a bad precedent to overturn them and that the other side could easily do in future and thus the EC is DEAD !

Does that explain things? I'm no Constitutional expert.

Look up his tweets it's all there ,...

RandFan 1 point ago +1 / -0

Actually you're wrong in that tirade. He took to twitter to explain what he was doing and why. Look it up.

You can disagree with him but at least he came out and explained why. All the other senators did not do that and yes, they all certified it

RandFan 1 point ago +1 / -0

Part of Rand's argument was (if your interested) that he could not overturn State Legislature appointed Electors as it would mean Congress picks the president which is dangerous particularly if the shoe was on the other foot ?

It cuts both ways. The other party could use their majority to pick THEIR president etc. Rand believed this would gravely undermine the Electoral College.

Whatever you feel about him that was his position and he explained it to his constituents. He did not actively seek to "screw" Trump or other such BS;. Him and Trump are friends.

I don't think I'm wasting my time at all. Sorry.

For every "Fuck Rand Paul" there are many more posters who admire and respect his work particularly at going after Dr. Fauci and getting to the truth of this pandemic that has consumed 15 MONTHS OF OUR LIVES and which many of us believe precipitated President Trump's ouster....

I think its worth noting their on good terms.

Rand had a lengthy explanation as to why he felt he had to certify the electors because they were appointed by the State Legislatures (many of which are GOP controlled!).

Your beef should be with the State Legislatures who sent them. Rand felt he had to certify or it undermines the electoral college.

Trump endorsed him recently and said this:

"He fights against the Swamp in Washington, the Radical Left Liberals, and especially the destructive RINOS, of which there are far too many, in Congress," Trump said in his statement. "Rand will continue to stand up for our great AMERICA FIRST policies because he believes in stopping wasteful spending, defending our Second Amendment rights, and taking care of our Military and our Vets. I am proud to be working with Rand in our battle to Make America Great Again.

"He has my Complete and Total Endorsement for another term in the U.S. Senate. The Commonwealth of Kentucky has a true champion in Rand Paul."

They all certified it.

Lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Trump and Rand are good friends.

The Paul's aren't too bad (Ron/Rand). They're actually conservative and have principles..
