I agree with you. I believe he has not authorized the Insurrection Act because he thinks it’s futile. Unfortunately, the same could be said of Pence and SCOTUS. They abnegated their constitutional responsibility because they fear the overarching power of the deep state. But Trump asked them to do it anyway for the sake of the country. Now he is the last line of defense, and it looks like he is refusing as well. He is the commander-in-chief of the military and the head of a coequal branch of government. Futility be damned - put it on record that he called for it, for posterity’s sake. Let the military be judged for their malfeasance, not POTUS.
If that’s true then we have to accept that Trump has lied to us since election night. Has stated definitively, “We caught them.” Read the Navarro Report and Sidney Powell’s 270-page breakdown of election fraud and foreign interference. There’s a big difference between no evidence and no standing. This whole scenario is playing out like the Comey hearing. “Our investigation found multiple instances of criminality, but no prosecutor would file charges.” It’s an abortion of justice.
