The current unit patch does not go under the flag. So we can be sure it’s a combat patch.. of course we are assuming a lot from one picture. It also could be a douche bag who bought the patch off Amazon.
Really there are 4 possibilities. 1. They bought the patch from the store and decided to wear it. 2. if they were always NG it would mean they were attached(tagged along) to 10th mountain sometime in the past and were deployed with them. 3. They used to be in 10th mountain when they were deployed. 4. They were active duty and were deployed with 10th mountain and now they are active duty with an unknown unit possibly 10th mountain
