I work in pharma, fuck the big companies. And fuck the FDA. Ask anyone at Astra Zeneca or Pfizer how many of the drugs they’ve developed from scratch vs acquired. Most people say it’s bc they are too big I.e. stupid, or bc it costs so much to develop a drug that small companies exist to feed products. While both of these are true, it’s to a small degree. The real reason is the FDA which mandates and guides QA departments that fuck over QC/analytical development and R&D/Process Development.
The companies have good ideas trickling out but it takes R&D 8 years to push it through a phase 1 safety study where smaller companies can do it in 2 years... the FDA is the largest problem in terms of inflating development costs and basically adds a disincentive to further research drug properties/biochemical activity...
That paired with all the people between drug companies and patients (pharmacy managers, distributors etc) drives prices way up too..
Then it’s all brought together by the shitty liberal upper management of these huge pharma companies and the culture they foster.
That’s why fuck (big) pharma, make pharma great again (by not having the govt dick over small/medium companies that will introduce competition and lower prices/better biologics and drugs).

I used to wet brine, but the hassle paired with a few experiments side-by-side made me ditch it. Salt basically denatures the shit of the proteins it contacts, making them very insoluble to water and acting as a barrier keeping juices in. Brine soak uptakes more water and retains about the same juiciness, similar effect buttt it actually kinda dilutes extra-cellular fluid content.. yet again, the big pro of brine is you can get spices further in (bay leaves, pepper etc) without injections. I work in protein biologics as a profession, so I’m kinda trying to keep my ramble in laymen’s terms
Give dry rub (with a tad of Tony’s salt) on a random month smoke!!! I would compare turkey breasts with skin side by side when I was playing around last summer. Obviously don’t try a new method for thanksgiving, the Super Bowl of smoked turkeys!

Edit: I smoked my first few turkeys WITHOUT a pan and grate. That was a huge mistake wasting those juices... now I do what you do with the neck as well!

Psychoactive drug classes are jokes. We are good with physical ailments, somewhat okay with endocrine aliments (diabetes) and horrendous at psychiatric ailments.
Anti depressants are maybe good for a minority of people who take them: anti-anxiety drugs are evil, save for maybe 1% of people who take them.
Gender bender drugs are good for 0% of the people taking them. Same with ADHD drugs...unless you have a fucked hypothalamus, but you’d probably be dead if that’s the case.. But that’s another rant...
